Sony Music Publishing UK today announced the signing of celebrated singer-songwriter Freya Ridings to an exclusive global publishing agreement.

Famed for an honest, raw and powerful songwriting style, this creative partnership will cover Ridings’ future works, including her upcoming anticipated third studio album, which Ridings is in the process of recording.
Freya Ridings said, “It’s such an honour to be signing with Sony Music Publishing. It’s been a dream of mine since 19 to sign with them as an artist/songwriter and I’m very excited to share the music we create together!”
London-based Freya Ridings first skyrocketed to fame in 2018 when her song “Lost Without You” became a runaway sensation, leading to the release of self-titled #3 debut album and a BRIT nomination. Other past hits include “Castles” and “Weekends” off Ridings’ critically acclaimed sophomore album Blood Orange.
With nearly 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, 2025 looks set to be a landmark year for the artist, with the upcoming release of an album that promises to be Ridings’ most personal and compelling work to date.
David Ventura, President & Co-Managing Director, UK and SVP International, Sony Music Publishing said, “For almost a decade, I have been trying to work with Freya, simply because her songwriting and voice are hypnotizing. After all this time, it is exciting to have the opportunity to finally be in her team. Freya’s songwriting is inspired – she has many things to write about and her work ethic is incredible. New music is around the corner and it’s time for Freya’s music to reach new heights.”
Alex Martin, Manager, AM Mgmt said, “Freya is a generational talent. The next stage of Freya’s career is extremely exciting, and we are excited to be working with David, Tim and the whole Sony Music Publishing team on this next chapter. SMP have been long admirers of Freya’s talent and have shown incredible passion, commitment and patience to work with Freya – attributes we really value and respect and were huge aspects in why we decided to work with them.”
Sony Music Publishing UK A&R Manager Ollie Audouin added, “Freya is a special songwriter, with an iconic voice. We are very excited to be working with Freya on this next inspired chapter of her career.”
