Porsha Williams, Contessa Metcalfe Celebrate Chef Jernard’s ‘Savor The City’ (Pisc & Video)

TV One proudly presents the premiere episode of its new original series, “Savor The City,” airing Thursday, April 3 at 8P/7C. Hosted by James Beard House honored Chef Jernard Wells, the series sets the table for an inspiring cultural journey rooted in Black food, heritage, and community—beginning in the heart of Napa Valley, a region with a growing legacy of Black innovation in food and wine.

In the premiere episode, Chef Jernard connects with trailblazing voices who are transforming wine country. He joins forces with Robin McBride, co-founder of the celebrated McBride Sisters Wine Collection, visits the iconic Brown Estate, the first Black-owned estate winery in Napa, and enjoys a curated food and wine pairing at Vin En Noir, a boutique space centering Black winemakers. Additional episodes this season include stops in New Orleans, Sag Harbor, San Francisco, Martha’s Vineyard, Nashville, Miami, the Bahamas and more.

To celebrate the premiere, TV One hosted an exclusive red-carpet event at ZuCot Gallery in Atlanta. The evening brought together network executives, tastemakers, press, and influencers; special guest Porsha Williams was there, alongside Chef Jernard, to toast the launch of the series.

“Savor the City” is produced by Powerhouse Productions, with Rochelle Brown and Sonia Armstead serving as Executive Producers, and Kenneth Colbert as Senior Producer. Susan Henry is the VP, Original Programming and Production for CLEO TV.
