Kobalt Signs Global Publishing Deal with UK Band South Arcade

Kobalt, the largest independent music publisher in the world, announced today they have signed South Arcade, a band that recently came onto the scene in a major way, driven by over 20 million streams across their debut EP (released in December) and almost 800,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone, plus a daytime playlist at BBC Radio 1 and a show at Londonโ€™s KOKO that sold out almost immediately.

South Arcade lead singer and co-songwriter, Harmony Scott-Russell commented, โ€œWeโ€™re stoked to be working with Kobalt because they really get what weโ€™re about. As gamers and movie lovers, we know how much music shapes culture โ€“ weโ€™ve discovered some of our favourite songs through soundtracks. Canโ€™t wait to see where our music ends up!โ€

After forming in 2021, South Arcade are taking the UK alternative scene by storm. The band has had multiple sold-out headline shows over the last year. With a growing fanbase and reputation for their energetic performances, the band have supported the likes of Dead PonyRร˜RY and Yours Truly. The Oxford-based band have received incredible support at radio, including plays on Radio 1 showsโ€™ Jack Saunders Future ArtistsNels Hylton Future Alternative and were picked as Alyx Holcombeโ€™s Track Of The Week with the single โ€œChange Your Mind.โ€
