iHeartMedia Miamiโs BIG 105.9, South Floridaโs Classic Rock, announced today that the second annual โPaul Castronovoโs 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Shareโ on December 11 raised over $188,000 to benefit Farm Share, Floridaโs largest food bank.

Paul Castronovoโs 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Share featured Big 105.9 on-air personalities, led by iconic morning show host Paul Castronovo encouraging listeners to go online and buy tickets to the 50-50 draw. One listener would win half the jackpot, with the other half going to Farm Share to help feed people in South Florida. On Monday morning, Josh Wells, a local firefighter, won the draw and took home a check for more than $94,000.
The funds raised by this raffle will allow Farm Share to distribute more than 750,000 meals to food-insecure individuals and families across Florida.
โAs the holidays draw near, itโs important to unite in our efforts to ensure no Floridian faces hunger,โ said Stephen Shelley, President and CEO of Farm Share. โThe 50/50 raffle was a perfect opportunity for the community to come together, participate and make a difference in the fight against food insecurity.โ
โOnce again, the Big 105.9 audience shows up to help South Florida. Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket. Josh, you owe me a beer!โ said Paul Castronovo.
Last year Big 105.9 raised over $122,000 with the first edition of the โPaul Castronovoโs 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Share.โ
