iHeartMedia Miamiโ€™s BIG 105.9, South Floridaโ€™s Classic Rock, announced today that the second annual โ€œPaul Castronovoโ€™s 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Shareโ€ on December 11 raised over $188,000 to benefit Farm Share, Floridaโ€™s largest food bank.

IHEARTMEDIA MIAMI AND BIG 105.9โ€™S SECOND ANNUAL

Paul Castronovoโ€™s 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Share featured Big 105.9 on-air personalities, led by iconic morning show host Paul Castronovo encouraging listeners to go online and buy tickets to the 50-50 draw. One listener would win half the jackpot, with the other half going to Farm Share to help feed people in South Florida.  On Monday morning, Josh Wells, a local firefighter, won the draw and took home a check for more than $94,000.

The funds raised by this raffle will allow Farm Share to distribute more than 750,000 meals to food-insecure individuals and families across Florida.

โ€œAs the holidays draw near, itโ€™s important to unite in our efforts to ensure no Floridian faces hunger,โ€ said Stephen Shelley, President and CEO of Farm Share. โ€œThe 50/50 raffle was a perfect opportunity for the community to come together, participate and make a difference in the fight against food insecurity.โ€

โ€œOnce again, the Big 105.9 audience shows up to help South Florida. Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket. Josh, you owe me a beer!โ€ said Paul Castronovo.

Last year Big 105.9 raised over $122,000 with the first edition of the โ€œPaul Castronovoโ€™s 50-50 Draw in Support of Farm Share.โ€
