iHeartMedia Albanyโs 99.5 The River, Albanyโs Best Variety of the 80s, 90s and Today, announced the return of โPay Less for the Dress,โ an opportunity for area teens to have an affordable prom. The one-night event will take place Friday, March 8, at Key Hall at Proctors.

โPay Less for the Dressโ offers hundreds of gently used and new dresses donated by the community sold for $9.95 each. Donated dresses can be dropped off at Best Cleaners locations across the Albany area. 99.5 The River morning showโs Kevin & Tracy will also broadcast live throughout February for collection days at local high schools, including South Colonie, Niskayuna and Shenendahowa.
To donate or learn more about the event, listeners can go to www.995theriver.iheart.com. โPay Less for the Dressโ is sponsored by CDPHP and supported by Best Cleaners, which handles the dress cleaning and delivery. Proceeds from the evening will benefit both the Proctorโs Scholarship Fund and the Center for Disability Services.
โWeโre excited to bring the popular โPay Less for the Dressโ community event back to the capital region and provide students on a milestone occasion access to affordable prom dresses,โ said Howard Greiner, Area President for iHeartMedia Albany. โOur stations are dedicated to supporting our local communities throughout the capital region; being able to help some of our areaโs charitable organizations makes this event even more meaningful.โ
