WHAT: iHeartPodcasts and the National Basketball Association (NBA) today debuted “Dub Dynasty,” a new co-produced limited-series podcast from the NBA Podcast Network that will cover the behind-the-scenes story of the Golden State Warriors’ (GSW) four championship run over the last ten years and look ahead to the next chapter in their incredible journey as the team pushes for success during the 2025 season.
Hosted by Israel Gutierrez, the show will chronicle GSW’s indelible impact on basketball and the challenges the franchise has overcome in order to become one of the greatest dynasties in modern sports.
In the first episode, Gutierrez will discuss his introduction to NBA basketball as a kid and how the Golden State Warriors franchise – that last won a title in 1975 – begins to put the pieces together to form one of the greatest teams ever. He will also dive deep into the 2009 NBA Draft Day drama that nearly resulted in Stephen Curry never becoming a Warrior and the inside take on why many felt he would never reach Super-Star level success.
“Dub Dynasty” adds to iHeartMedia’s existing shows in partnership with the NBA including “NBA DNA with Hannah Storm,” “Four Years of Heat,” “Miles and Jack Got Mad Boosties” and more. Fans can check out all the shows on the NBA Podcast Network including NBA team shows, HERE.
WHO: Israel Gutierrez is a sports commentator for Meadowlark Media. Before joining Meadowlark he was an NBA reporter for ESPN. He also covered the Heat for the Miami Herald as well as The Palm Beach Post. Guttierez is a South Florida native and University of Florida graduate.
