CBS Los Angeles (KCBS/KCAL) is naming Rudabeh Shahbazi co-anchor of the weekday evening newscasts alongside legendary broadcaster Pat Harvey, and promoting Sheba Turk to Shahbazi’s previous position as morning anchor on KCAL NEWS MORNINGS with co-anchor Jamie Yuccas, effective Monday, April 28.
Shahbazi, who has anchored KCAL’s flagship morning newscast, steps into the evening role, bringing her journalistic depth, energy and strong connection with Southern California viewers to the nighttime lineup. The four-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and anchor joins Pat Harvey for the 5:00 PM, 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM newscasts.
Turk, who is known for her dynamic presence and deep commitment to community storytelling, joins the station’s successful eight-hour morning block, which includes the CBS News Los Angeles streaming channel, from 7:00-10:00 AM.
