Today Sony Music Publishing Nashville, in partnership with Tooth & Nail Publishing, announced the signing of rising artist Max McNown to a global publishing agreement.
Max McNown is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who has quickly emerged as one of country music’s most compelling new artists. His breakout single “A Lot More Free” became a viral success, topping TikTok’s Breakthrough US chart, reaching #1 on the iTunes singles chart, and landing McNown on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.

McNown has continued to build on his momentum with the release of his albums Wandering (2024) andNight Diving (2025). The projects feature tracks including “Better Me for You (Brown Eyes),” which reached #1 on the iTunes Country chart and broke into the Top 20 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, as well as collaborations like “Turned Into Missing You” with Avery Anna and “Measure” with Corey Kent.
