Tim Virgin is making a return to Chicago radio in a big way, joining Hubbard Radio Chicago’s 97.1 The Drive (WDRV) in the Afternoon Drive slot.
Virgin, a long-time voice on Chicago’s airwaves, is known for his unmistakable voice, quick wit, and passion for rock music. For decades, he has been an integral part of the city’s soundtrack, connecting with generations of listeners.

Virgin’s arrival at The Drive follows a brief hiatus, and his return marks an important shift for the station. With him moving into the Afternoon Drive slot, Janda Lane will transition to Middays, continuing her acclaimed Behind The Song podcast.
The podcast, which has earned significant recognition, including a Marconi Award from the National Association of Broadcasters and a Silver Dome from the Illinois Broadcasters Association, has been named the 2025 Podcast of the Year.
