Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) has launched its Presidential Executive-in-Residence Program, inviting industry leaders to share their expertise with students and faculty. Dr. Mathew Knowles, renowned entrepreneur, branding strategist, and the driving force behind global music icons such as Beyoncé, Destiny’s Child, and Solange, has been appointed the inaugural Executive-in-Residence for the 2025–2026 academic year.
With a successful career including over $100 million in business exits, groundbreaking campaigns for brands like Pepsi, L’Oréal, and Samsung, and accolades such as the National Speakers Association’s Master of Influence Award, Dr. Knowles brings unmatched experience to the program.
During his residency, Dr. Knowles will host four master classes, two per semester, in collaboration with PVAMU’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Department of Languages and Communication. The classes will cover:

From Solopreneur to Entrepreneur: This session will explore the myths of entrepreneurship, the importance of mindset, and strategies for building purpose-driven businesses.
Strategic Visibility: Focused on the role of branding, business growth, and the power of narrative, this class will help students understand how to craft compelling stories and create lasting brand impact.
Dr. Knowles will also lead two faculty development workshops, focusing on cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, utilizing storytelling, and advancing media innovation. These workshops are designed to bridge the gap between academic theories and real-world practices, preparing both faculty and students for future-ready careers.
