The Radio Hall of Fame has revealed its class of 2025 Legends inductees, recognizing eight influential figures who made significant contributions to the radio industry before their passing. The inductees include a mix of on-air personalities, broadcasters, and engineers who shaped the landscape of radio through their work. Here are the 2025 inductees:

Amos Brown – On-Air Personality
Richard Burden – Broadcast Engineer
Joanne Church – Research Executive
Jed The Fish – On-Air Personality
Irna Phillips – Scriptwriter, Producer, and Programming Executive
Steve Smith – Programming Executive
Dale Sommers – “The Truckin’ Bozo,” On-Air Personality
Don Wade – On-Air Personality
Dennis Green, Co-Chair of the Radio Hall of Fame, expressed pride in recognizing these individuals: “It is with the utmost sense of pride that we bestow Hall of Fame induction upon the Legends of Radio who are gone but will never be forgotten. These iconic broadcasters made a lasting impact on the industry, and we honor them and their contributions to the rich history of radio.”
Co-Chair Kraig Kitchin added, “Each of these individuals contributed to the growth and vibrance of our radio industry and are worthy of induction. I’m thrilled to see recognition for their talents and efforts and heartened that their family, friends, and colleagues can witness this well-deserved honor.”
The official induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Swissotel Hotel in Chicago, IL. Tickets for the event are currently available, with a portion of ticket proceeds going to the Museum of Broadcast Communications as a tax-deductible charitable donation.
