92KQRS-FM Launches New Era of Rock Programming for the Twin Cities

Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that Twin Cities Rock station 92KQRS-FM has turned up the volume on its programming today with a new sound and an updated on-air lineup, evolving the legendary Rock brand. At 6:00am, 92KQRS unveiled its enhanced music offerings, featuring artists like Nirvana, R.E.M., Green Day, and U2, in addition to Rock cornerstones Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones. The new music mix will also put greater focus on the legendary Rock that came from Minnesota, with music from artists including Prince, Soul Asylum, The Replacements, and Bob Dylan.

Along with updated music comes an updated lineup on 92KQRS. Kicking off the weekday on-air schedule is “Gorman in the Morning With Fletcher and Ryder,” hosted by Steve Gorman, nationally syndicated radio personality, best-selling author and founding member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-nominated Black Crowes.

Joining the 92KQRS weekday lineup are well-known Twin Cities radio veterans Paul Fletcher and Jade. Fletcher joins the cast of the morning show and will also host middays on 92KQRS. He comes to 92KQRS after a successful 12 years at Cities 97. Jade will be heard on 92KQRS weekdays from 3:00pm-7:00pm. She joins the station after more than 15 years immersed in the Minnesota music community with The Current.
